A Reminder about Reception of Holy Communion

The Catholic Church welcomes greater numbers of people at Christmas time, including those who have been away from the Sacraments. Reception of Holy Communion is reserved for those who are baptized Catholics in a state of grace, having observed the one hour Eucharistic fast before receiving Holy Communion. Anyone conscious of having committed a mortal sin since their last confession must receive the sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession before coming to Communion.
