no face mask required

March 21, 2022 st aidans schedule 2022 for lent full capacity no social distancing no masks required

The provincial government announced the end of public masking requirements in most non-medical settings effective Monday, March 21. The Archdiocese of Toronto has followed the Government of Ontario’s Covid-19 guidance throughout the pandemic. As such, our churches, halls and offices will also no longer require masking starting on Monday, March 21. Some people will still want to wear masks in churches and offices, and they should not be discouraged from doing so.

As of March 1st, we can have full capacity for church attendance. Social distancing will no longer be required. Wearing a face mask is still necessary. Pre-registration for Sunday Masses is no longer required after this weekend. For the time being, since we have the space, we will continue to maintain social distancing, so our seating arrangement will be the same for now. We are no longer required to sanitize the pews between Masses. Receiving Holy Communion on the tongue will be permitted, but those who wish to receive on the tongue will have to receive after everyone else has received. Holy Water fonts can be placed back at the entrance of churches.
