Muffler stolen in our Parking Lot

If you own a Honda CRV 2003 to 2009, please be very careful. One of our parishioners with such a car had his catalytic converter (muffler) stolen while parked in the parish parking lot. Thieves can cut through the metal pipes in a couple of minutes with an electric power saw. These CRV‘s are primary targets because they are higher off the ground, and so easier to access, and the piping is easy to get at based on the design. We suggest that you park in such a way that you do not back into your spot. Someone under your car is easier to spot if the back end of your car is visible. To replace your catalytic converter would cost you roughly $1000-$2000.
