Passing of Francis Joseph Dvorak (1962-2026)

Francis Joseph Dvorak, the artist who painted the two murals in St. Aidan church, has recently passed away. Please pray for the repose of his soul.

"It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Joseph Dvorak at the age of 64. He died suddenly in Toronto on September 15th, 2026, after a serious and rapid decline in his health.

Born on June 4, 1962, Francis was an artist, philosopher, writer and teacher. The second son of Czech immigrants, Francis was inspired by the work of his artist great-grandfather to pursue a career in art. After receiving an honours degree in philosophy from the University of Toronto, Francis studied classical representational painting at the atelier of John Michael Angel in Toronto and Florence, Italy."
